Case Studies

Oh Sew Perfect was asked to provide bespoke fitting rooms for Midnight Elegance, a new Bridal and Evening Wear Boutique in Inverurie.

A lot of planning went into the practicality of the fitting area, but also the desired look to fit in with the theme of the boutique. The curtain fabric of choice was a woven damask chenille from Jones Interiors. A pair of curtains at the front with a centre dividing curtain gives the option of one large changing room or two smaller changing rooms, ideal for bridal fittings. The fitting area had to add a feel of glamour and elegance, something far more luxurious than many other changing rooms.

After the fabric and curtain design was chosen, I then came up with a design for a pelmet to show off the fabric and fit in with the theme. The pelmet edge was piped in rose pink velvet, to match the cushions Oh Sew Perfect also made for the dark grey Chesterfield sofa in the fitting area.

Finally, rose pink tiebacks were added to dress the curtains back.

New Boutique - Inverurie

Katherine has provided me with the most amazing changing room area. She took aboard everything I said in the initial consultation, from the style I wanted through to the practicality. I could not be happier with my beautiful changing area and I would not hesitate to use Katherine’s services again. Kathy Yates, Owner of Midnight Elegance.
